Where is the closest boat launch?
The closest launch is at the end of Meltonsville Rd (turns in to Christopher Circle), just 2.5 miles from our Gates. Leaving our gates, take a right on the first road to your right (Meltonsville). Meltonsville turns into Cristopher circle, the launch will be at the end of the road. The shown address is 2019 Chrisopher Circle, Guntersville. There are several other launches within minutes of River Ridge Retreat.
Can we bring our boat?
Yes! Both the cabins and the campground have additional overflow parking if you boat does not fit at your site. All cabins have power outlets on the front porch for charging batteries. We currently do not offer boat docks but we have it in the plans as a high priority.
Do you have a bathhouse?
We currently do not offer a bathhouse; therefore, all units must be self-contained. All RV Sites Are full-hookup and all cabins have full size bathrooms.
Do you offer tent camping?
We do not currently offer tent camping. We have 54 large RV sites and 12 tiny house cabins tucked in among all the beauty nature has to offer.
Do you offer wifi?
Short Answer: No
Long answer: We do not currently offer it because there is no fiberoptic available in our area. What internet is available is extremely slow and would only look good on paper. Many campgrounds say they offer wifi when in reality, the bandwidth just isn’t able to service every guest and, therefore, is useless. We would rather not offer terrible wifi and have disappointed guests. Until fiberoptic becomes available in our area, we will not offer wifi. Many people staying with us are carrying their own wifi from Verizon, T-Mobile, ATT or Starlink and do just great here. We have several guest that work from our park using these services. We foresee this will become the standard and instead of people relying on terrible wifi on open networks, they will bring their own.
Do you offer cable/tv service?
All cabins have Dish Network TV service. RV sites do not have cable. Most RVs bought today have built-in antennas/satellite service and they do just great on our sites.
Can we bring our golf cart?
Yes! You must have proof of liability insurance. Side-by-sides and four wheelers are prohibited. We offer Golf cart rentals as well.
